VJ Books Presents Author Wallace Stroby!
Wallace Stroby was born 1960 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University, where he earned a BA in Journalism and Mass Media. Stroby worked as a reporter, book reviewer, and editor at several New Jersey newspapers, including 15 years as the editor at the Star-Ledger of Newark. His work repeatedly won him awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Society of Newspaper Design. He has also contributed articles to myriad magazines, including Writer's Digest and Esquire Japan. Stroby's first novel The Barbed Wire Kiss (2003) was very well received, and became a finalist for the 2004 Barry Award for Best First Novel. Stroby has now published 8 more novels, with the most recent, Heaven's a Lie having released in April 2021. He continues to be a life-long resident of the Jersey Shore.
