VJ Books Presents Author Tim Powers!
Tim Powers was born in Buffalo, New York in 1952. He earned his B.A. at Cal State Fullerton in 1976. He is the author of numerous science fiction and fantasy novels, including LAST CALL, DECLARE, THREE DAYS TO NEVER, and ON STRANGER TIDES, the inspiration for the blockbuster film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.
Most of his novels use actual, documented historical events featuring famous people, but shows another view of them in which occult or supernatural factors heavily influence the motivations and actions of the characters.
