VJ Books Presents Author Tim Cockey (aka Richard Hawke)!
Tim Cockey was born in 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his education in Ohio, London, and Copenhagen. After graduating, he returned to Baltimore and worked for a local paper doing advertising sales and design as well as book reviews, and later worked for the Baltimore Opera Company in their Public Relations department.
After securing a modest grand from the Maryland State Arts Council, Cockey moved to North Carolina and focused on his first novel (which remains unpublished). He then moved to New York City and wrote The Hearse You Came In On, which was published in 2000. That novel has since become a series, and Cockey has also written a number of other novels under the name Richard Hawke. He has also worked for American Playhouse, ABC, and Hallmark Entertainment as a story analyst.
Cockey currently lives in New York City.
