VJ Books Presents Author Ted Bell!
Ted Bell is the prestigious author of 12 consecutive New York Times best sellers and is best known for his Alex Hawke spy thriller series.
His latest Alex Hawke novel, Sea Hawke, finds our protagonist, gentleman spy and MI6 legend Alex Hawke, sailing into trouble when an around-the-world journey becomes a fight against terror. After saving the kidnapped heir to the British throne seeks some much deserved downtime on his new custom built sailing yacht. His only mission is to get closer to his son Alexi during an epic cruise across the seven seas.
But fate and the chief of MI6, Lord David Trulove, have other plans.
There's an unholy alliance of nations who are plotting to attack Western democracies. The wily intelligence leader plans to use Hawke to drive a knife into the heart of this conspiracy. From an island base off Cuba to a secret jungle lair deep in the Amazon, on the land and the seas, the master spy and his crew of incorrigibles are in for the fight of their lives--the fight for freedom.
Bell sold his first Hollywood screenplay at age 25, though he did not start writing full time until he retired from advertising in 2001.
His illustrious career in advertising includes rising from junior copywriter to the youngest Vice President of the agency at which he began his advertising career, Doyle Dane Bernbach. He moved on to Leo Burnett Co. where he ascended to the title of President, Chief Creative Officer, and later became the Chairman/Worldwide Creative Director of advertising giant Young & Republican. Bell has won every award the advertising industry has to offer including Clios, Cannes Gold Lions, even the Cannes Grand Prix.
Bell grew up in Florida. He earned a BA in English from Randolph-Macon College, and also holds an honorary degree in Fine Arts from Kendall College of Art and Design. He was later a visiting scholar at Cambridge University in England and served as a Writer-In-Residence there.
