VJ Books Features Steven Savile (Ronan Frost)!
 Steven Savile was born in Newcastle, England, in 1969. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Politics and a Masters of Philosophy in Comparative Religions. He wrote short stories as a youth and as a young man he began his career as a writer by selling horror stories to adult magazines, as well as writing and reviewing play-by-mail games. Savile later progressed to writing novels and starting his own games company, Pheonix Games (spelled as written).
Savile is the sole author of novels associated with Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Slaine. He has also written stories set in the worlds of Primeval, Stargate, Warhammer, Fireborn, Pathfinder, Arkham Horror, Risen, and other games and comics. His Primeval novel, Shadow of the Jaguar (2010) won the International Media Association of Tie-In Writers award, and his novel Tau Ceti (2011), co-written with author Keven J. Anderson, won the Lifeboat to the Stars award.
Savile also writes original novels, including his Ogmios series. Silver (2011), the first title in that series, was a British bestseller. He has also written under the pen name Matt Langley.
In addition to writing, Savile has worked as a teacher, salesman, auditor, and public servant, including for the UK Ministry of Defence. He emigrated in 1997 to Sweden, where he lives to this day.
