VJ Books Presents Author Sharon Bolton (aka S.J. Bolton)!
 Sharon (formerly S.J.) Bolton grew up in Lancashire, England. At university, she studied drama, and after spending some time performing she took up a career in marketing and PR, which she continued until she and her husband, Andrew, decided to start a family.
As a mother, Bolton took up writing novels, and found it was the career she had been waiting to find all along. Her first book, Sacrifice (2008) was made into a film of the same name, and her second, Awakening, published the next year, won the 2010 Mary Higgins Clark award. Bolton's other books have also won or been shortlisted for numerous other honors, and her complete body of work earned her a Crime Writers Association Dagger in the Library award in 2014.
Bolton currently lives in the Chiltern Hills, England, with her family.
