VJ Books Presents Author Robert Karjel
Robert Karjel was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1965. He earned a degree in Applied Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. After graduating, Karjel joined the Swedish Air Force. He has trained with the US Marine Corp and now holds the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Karjel is the author of three Swedish-language thrillers, as well as two that have been published in English. He has been a Copeland Fellow at Amherst College and completed a writer's residency at Ledig House in New York.
When not writing or flying helicopters, Karjel enjoys cooking, running, sea-kayaking, and spending time with his daughters. He also lectures on the topic of leadership under pressure.
Karjel currently lives in Stockholm.
