Author Robert HarrisRobert Harris was born in Nottingham in 1957. He studied English at Cambridge University. He has been a television correspondent with the BBC and a newspaper columnist for the London Sunday Times and The Daily Telegraph. In 2003, he was named Columnist of the Year in the British Press Awards. His novels have sold more than ten million copies. Several of his books have been filmed, most recently The Ghost, which was directed by Roman Polanski. His work has been translated into thirty-seven languages.

He lives in the village of Kintbury, west Berkshire, with his wife Gill Hornby.
