VJ Books Presents Author Rene Denfeld!
Rene Denfeld has written for publications including The New York Times and is the author of three non-fiction books in addition to her fiction. Her award-winning debut novel, The Enchanted, was inspired by her day job as a licensed investigator. Devoted to helping others, Rene works with men and women on death row, sex trafficking victims and innocents in prison. Rene was the Chief Investigator at a public defender's office and has worked hundreds of cases.
The child of a difficult history herself, Denfeld is an accomplished speaker who loves connecting with communities.
Her second novel, The Child Finder, will be published in September 2017. It is already earning rave reviews, including Publisher's Weekly, which writes, "the conclusion will leave readers breathless." The Child Finder was inspired by her investigative work, as well as experiences as a foster-adoptive mother of twenty years.
Denfeld lives in Portland, Oregon, where she is the proud parent to three amazing teenagers and young adults, all adopted from foster care.
