The Rocket's Red Glare is a fast paced, emotionally charged, road trip through the life of a young artist and the friend he couldn't forget.

While the question of his own survival had come into Gary's mind several times over the course of the trip, it had never before occurred to him to question why he was on this trip.

It had been literally years since he had heard from Dave. There had been rumors from time to time which Gary's brother would pass on to him. Dave was, after all, something of a minor celebrity at their high school. He was an athlete, an honor society member, recipient of numerous scholarships and of course an intellectual anarchist.

His fall from grace was nearly legendary in the halls of Sabreton High. Gary too, enjoyed his share of notoriety at Sabreton. Their names were inextricably bound together for their misadventures. But it had all ended there, back in high school, or so Gary thought.
