VJ Books Presents Author Matthew Quick!
Matthew Quick was born in 1973 and grew up in Oaklyn, New Jersy. He has a degree in English literature and secondary education from La Salle University and an MFA from Goddard College. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from La Salle in 2013.
He taught high school literature and film in southern New Jersey for several years. In 2004, he began writing full time.
He is the author of several novels, including THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, which was made into an Oscar-winning film. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages and has received a PEN/Hemingway Award Honorable Mention, among other accolades.
Quick and his wife, novelist and pianist Alicia Bessette, live in North Carolina.
