Author Mark BlayneyMark Blayney is a writer and performer based in Cardiff, Wales. His work spans comedy, fiction and poetry.

Blayney won the Somerset Maugham Prize for his novella Two Kinds of Silence. He has written for the Independent, the Guardian and the Financial Times and has appeared on BBC Radio Wales, Radio Bristol, Radio Solent and BBC1 South Today. Other profiles include the Malaysia Star.

He is an elected member of The Welsh Academy, the national Society of Writers in Wales, and has also received a commendation from the Welsh Centre for International Affairs. He's a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).

He performs and MCs regularly.
