Juris Jurjevics was born in Latvia and grew up in Displaced Persons camps in Germany. He spent 40 years in book publishing: beginning at Harper & Row in 1968, at Avon Books, E.P. Dutton, and the Dial Press. He was publisher and president of Soho Press and later stepped down to take up writing.
He is the author of The Trudeau Vector, which was translated into 9 languages, published in a dozen countries, and optioned for film by National Geographic. His second novel, Red Flags, was set in Viet Nam. Jurjevics served in Viet Nam for 14 months and his original departure date was delayed by the Tet Offensive.
He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
