VJ Books Features Author Jay Brandon!
 Jay Brandon is the award-winning author of many novels and short stories. He began writing at an early age, soon after he started reading. In high school, he was the copy editor of the yearbook and a columnist for the newspaper. He attended Trinity University in San Antonio for two years taking every writing class they offered and later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in English.
Brandon later moved to Houston where he worked in a bookstore and then went to law school. At the end of his second year of law school he changed agents. Brandon's first novel, DEADBOLT, was published the same year that he graduated from law school. DEADBOLT was awarded Booklist magazine's Editor's Choice Award and his first legal thriller, FADE THE HEAT, was short-listed for the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Award for Best novel.
Brandon lives in San Antonio, Texas.
