VJ Books Presents Jane Harper!
 Jane Harper was born in 1980 in Manchester, England. She grew up in England and Australia. She returned to England as a teenager and attended the University of Kent in Canterbury studying English and History. After graduating from the University of Kent, she also earned a journalism qualification.
Harper worked her way up as a journalist from Trainee to Senior News Journalist, working at news institutions such as the Hull Daily Mail in England and the Herald Sun in Australia. A short story of hers was one of only a dozen selected to be printed in the 2014 fiction edition of the Big Issue. Harper decided to take a three month online creative writing class, and during the course of the class wrote a first draft of what would become her debut novel, The Dry (2017).
Harper continues to write from her home in St. Kilda, Australia, where she lives with her husband.
