VJ Books Presents Author J.T. Ellison!
 J.T. Ellison was born in Florida, but spent her childhood in Colorado and Virginia. As a child, she devoured books and worshiped Perry Mason. She attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, where she earned a double major in Politics and Creative Writing. Ellison intended to continue writing and get a Masters of Fine Arts, but her college advisor told her she would never be published and declined to write her a recommendation. She gave up writing and instead earned her Masters at the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management, where she would meet her future husband.
Ellison spent the next 8 years working in The White House and the Department of Commerce, and later as a financial analyst and marketing director in the private sector. During this time, she and her husband, Randy moved to Tennessee. While recuperating from a back injury, she spent a lot of time reading and her desire to write was rekindled. She began researching crime and forensics and plotting her own detective stories. Her first novel, All the Pretty Girls, was published in 2007, and she is now the author of several dozen novels, short stories, and novellas. Ellison work has graced the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists and earned her the ITW Thriller Award for Best Paperback Original. She also co-authors the "A Brit in the FBI" series with author Catherine Coulter.
Beyond writing novels, Ellison is co-host of the EMMY Award-winning literary television show, A Word on Words, the co-founder of The Wine Vixen, a wine review website, and also founder of Two Tales Press.
