We are a glad that Greg Iles has returned in top form from his brush with death. On the evening of March 11, 2011, the car his was driving was struck at 70 MPH living him in critical condition. Doctors at UMMC were certain he would die Ñ his injuries were massive With nearly every rib broken, bones in his left foot shattered, pelvis split in four places, and his right leg mangled - hanging on by threads of skin - his recovery took months.

Bone Tree by Greg IlesIles is the author of 15 NY Times Bestsellers. Last year's release of NATCHEZ BURNING was met with critical praise, and is in the running for several top literary awards. It is the first of a trilogy set in the 1960s and dealing with white vs. black, fathers and sons, interracial love and the inhumane acts of the Double Eagles, a spinoff of the KKK. THE BONE TREE (2015) is the eagerly awaited second book in the series.

Iles spent several years as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter in the band Frankly Scarlet. He quit the band when he began working on his first novel, SPANDAU PHOENIX (1993). Nowadays, he plays with The Rockbottom Remainders, along with fellow authors Stephen King, Ridley Pearson, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, Roy Blount Jr., Dave Barry, James McBride, Scott Turow, and Matt Groening.
