VJ Books Presents Gene Brewer!
Gene Brewer was born July 4, 1937 in Muncie, Indiana where he also grew up. Brewer was educated at DePauw University and University of Wisconsin_Madison, and he studied DNA replication and cell division before becoming a novelist. He writes science fiction novels.
He is the author of the acclaimed K-PAX trilogy, a memoir (Creating K-PAX), a story for young adults ("Alejandro" in Twice Told), and the stage adaptation of his novel, K-PAX.
He lives in Vermont and New Brunswick with his wife and mixed-breed dog, Vikki. His hobbies are flying, running, chess, astronomy/cosmology, music, theater, and of course, reading (favorite author: Kurt Vonnegut). Passions include ecology, animal rights, and his wife, Karen.
