VJ Books Presents Author Felix Francis
Felix Francis is the youngest son of bestselling author Dick Francis. Born in 1953, his father’s first novel was published when he was nine years old. He recalls the whole family was often involved in conversations relating to his father's writing process including discussions at the breakfast table about the damage a bullet might do to a man’s gut.
Felix assisted Dick in the research and writing of his novels for 40 years. Upon the death of his father, Francis took up his legacy and began writing novels solo, some based on his late father's ideas, and some of his own devising.
His latest Dick Francis Novel, Iced is a fast-paced thriller following Miles, a former steeplechase jockey, as he discovers something suspicious going on in the White Turf horse race in St. Moritz that may have a profound impact on his life.
Francis studied Physics and Electronics at London University. He spent 17 years teaching Advanced Level Physics in several English schools, including 7 years as the head of the science department at Bloxham School. Dick drew on his son’s knowledge and experience as a physics teacher in Twice Shy and his past as an international marksman in Shattered and Under Orders.
