VJ Books Presents Author F. Paul Wilson!
Francis Paul Wilson was born in 1946 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He developed an interest in fiction as a child, growing up reading Lovecraft, Matheson, Bradbury, and Heinlein. He attended Georgetown University in Washington DC and sold his first story to Analog science fiction magazine while still in medical school. In the following years, Wilson moved into writing longer works, with his first novel, Healer, being published in 1976. He is now the author of over 50 books. Among other honors, he has received multiple Prometheus Awards for his novels, a Bram Stoker Award for short fiction, and the Inkpot Award from the San Diego Comic-Con.
Wilson is best known for his books following anti-hero Repairman Jack. Repairman Jack first appeared as a character in Wilson's Adversary Cycle, but Jack is now the subject of his own series, as well as several short stories and a young adult series exploring the character's early life. Wilson has also written for the stage, the screen, and other media.
Wilson continues to practice medicine part time while he writes. He currently lives in New Jersey.
