VJ Books Presents Author Dorien Kelly!
 Dorien Kelly studied as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, and worked as a waitress trying to decide between a career in writing or in law. She settled on the latter because of its financial promise and went to law school. She spent a number of years practicing commercial law, but her passions lay elsewhere, and she eventually left the legal profession and turned back to writing.
Kelly published her first novel, Designs on Jake (2002), as one novel in a Harlequin Duet. She bounced from shop girl to bank teller to executive director of a lighthouse keeper's association, while also raising her three children, but throughout all, she kept writing. She is now the author of over 20 romance novels, including two co-written with author Janet Evanovich.
Kelly currently lives with her husband, children, and dogs.
