VJ Books Presents Author David Hagberg!
David Hagberg (1942-2019) was born in Duluth Minnesota. Immediately after graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force. During his service, he was trained as a cryptographer and spent time stationed in Germany and Greenland. He studied physics, math, and philosophy at the University of Maryland, Overseas Division and the University of Wisconsin.
Hagberg began writing as a reporter for the Duluth Herald & News Tribune, and later worked for the Associated Press as News Desk Editor. He published his first novel, Twister, in 1975, and has published more than 70 books in the intervening years. His writing is often highly topical politically, and he has a habit of predicting major world events, such as North Korea's development of nuclear weapons, or Osama Bin Laden's attack on the United States. His novels are filled with suspense and intruigue.
Hagberg has been nominated for the American Book Award, and the Mystery Writers of America Edgar Allan Poe Award. He has also won the Mystery Scene Best American Mystery award three times.
