David Ellis is an attorney and an award-winning author of thirteen novels including four that he has co-authored with James Patterson. The Hidden Man debuted Dave's series character, Jason Kolarich. Ellis won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel for Line of Vision.
Dave's novels have been sold worldwide and have been translated into Italian, Japanese, German, Dutch, French, Polish, Czech, Bulgarian, and Spanish.
As a lawyer, Dave prosecuted and convicted Governor Rod Blagojevich in the Impeachment trial before the Illinois Senate. He currently serves as Special Counsel to the Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives. He has argued dozens of cases at the trial and appellate levels, specializing in constitutional law.
Dave currently lives near Chicago with his wife Susan, their children Abigail, Julia, and Jonathan.
