VJ Books Presents Author Charles Kipps Screenwriter/Producer/Author Charles Kipps has won an Emmy, a Peabody, and an Edgar Award.
Kipps' film credits include Fat Albert, a feature film for Twentieth Century Fox co-written with Bill Cosby, and upcoming independent film Frame of Mind.
His television credits include Exiled: A Law &; Order Movie (NBC), Little Bill (Nickelodeon), Fatherhood (Nickelodeon), The Cosby Mysteries (NBC), Columbo (ABC), and Law &; Order: Criminal Intent (NBC).
His early career as a journalist, included a stint as Features Editor for Variety. He is the author of two non-fiction books, Out of Focus and Cop Without A Badge, with an upcoming thriller Hell's Kitchen Homicide.
Kipps was awarded seven gold records writing and producing songs for artists such as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and former Temptation lead singer David Ruffin.
