VJ Books Presents Ben H. Winters!
Ben H. Winters is an American author, poet, teacher, playwright, and journalist. He grew up in suburban Maryland and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1998. He is the author of nine novels including his latest release, Underground Airlines.
Winters is well known for his Last Policeman trilogy. He won the 2012 Mystery Writers of American Edgar Award for the first book in the series, The Last Policeman. He also won the 2013 Philip K. Dick Award for Distinguished Science Fiction for the second book in the trilogy, Countdown City,
Many of the books that he has written for young readers have been nominated for numerous awards.
In addition to writing books, Winters has also written for the theater and was 2009-2010 Fellow of the Dramatists Guild.
Winters currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with his wfie Diana and their three children..
