VJ Books Presents Author Alison Gaylin!
Alison Gaylin grew up in Arcadia, California, surrounded by books. At age 10, she read Helter Skelter, about murderer Charles Manson, and this sparked a fascination with crime fiction. As an undergraduate, Gaylin studied at Northwestern University, and then continued her education at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
Today, Gaylin is an entertainment journalist and suspense novelist. Her first novel, Hide Your Eyes, was nominated for an Edgar Award, and her other works have been nominated twice more since. She has also been nominated for the the ITW Thriller and Anthony awards, and her book And She Was won the Shamus Award and the RT Reviewers Choice Award. Gaylin has also written a young adult novel, Reality Ends Here, as well co-writing as a graphic novel, Normandy Gold.
Her latest novel, Robert B. Parker's Bad Influence, follows Boston PI Sunny Randall, as she investigates the dark side of social media. This is the eleventh book in this thrilling series.
Gaylin currently lives with her husband and their daughter in Woodstock, New York.
