VJ Books Presents Author Joseph Finder!
Joseph Finder was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1958. He grew up in Afghanistan, the Philippines, Washington state, and Albany New York. He graduated summa cum laude from Yale College with a degree in Russian Studies, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the school's a cappella group, the Whiffenpoofs. He then continued his studies at the Harvard Russian Research Center.
In addition to writing, Finder has worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and taught at Harvard. He debuted as a novelist in 1991, with the publication of The Moscow Club. The book became a bestseller in Europe and has been published in more than 30 countries. His novels Company Man (2005) and Guilty Minds (2016) won Barry awards for Best Thriller, and High Crimes (1998) and Paranoia (2004) have been adapted to the silver screen. He also sometimes writes for Hollywood and various newspapers, and writing is now his full-time profession.
Finder is one of the founding members of the International Thriller Writers Association, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He lives in Boston with his wife and their daughter.
